Who am I?
I run an independent design and illustration service based near the beautiful Swansea Bay coastline.
Founded by me, Sandra – formerly a graphic designer for one of South Wales’ largest media companies – Sandstar Creative brings over 20 years of professional experience to every project. I offer down‑to‑earth, practical solutions across all areas of graphic design: from printed and digital layouts to brand identity, logo creation, and social media artwork.
Alongside graphic design, I also provide a full range of artistic and illustrative services. Whether you need a book cover, a detailed diagram, a regional map, or bespoke artwork, I work in both traditional mediums such as watercolour and modern digital illustration using a graphics tablet.
Living so close to some many beautiful places is endlessly inspiring. A simple walk along the beach can spark a whole wave of creative ideas. The name Sandstar isn’t a play on my own name – it’s a reflection of the natural world that surrounds me: the golden sands, the sparkling night sky, and the sense that creativity is everywhere. As Vincent van Gogh said, “If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere.”

Meet the designer
Hi, I’m Sandra, the designer behind Sandstar Creative. With over 20 years of experience in the graphic design world, I’ve had the joy of helping people and businesses bring their ideas to life through thoughtful, creative design.
When I was made redundant over six years ago, I took it as a sign to finally build something of my own – a small, friendly freelance studio where creativity could shine without the corporate fuss. That’s how Sandstar Creative was born: a cosy, down‑to‑earth space where great design and genuine collaboration come together.
